As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Please read the following instructions carefully to ensure the speedy publication of your manuscript. The editor reserves the right to return the manuscript if it is not prepared according to these instructions.
Publishing Ethics
Ethical standards for publication exist to ensure high-quality scientific publications, maintain public trust in scientific findings, and ensure that researchers receive proper credit for their work.
Preparation of Manuscript
All manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review and are expected to meet standards of academic excellence. If approved by the editor, submissions will be considered by peer reviewers whose identities remain anonymous to the authors.
Our Research Integrity team may occasionally seek advice outside standard peer review for submissions with serious ethical, security, biosecurity, or societal implications. We may consult experts and the academic editor before deciding on appropriate actions, including recruiting reviewers with specific expertise or declining further consideration of a submission.
Plagiarism
All journals published by JOASNT are committed to publishing only original material that has neither been published elsewhere nor is under review elsewhere. JOASNT uses iThenticate software to detect instances of overlapping and similar text. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized material will incur sanctions.
Duplicate Submission
Manuscripts found to have been published elsewhere or to be under review elsewhere will incur duplicate submission sanctions. If authors have used their own previously published work as the basis for a submission, they must cite the previous work and indicate the novel contributions of the new manuscript.
Citation Manipulation
Manuscripts found to include citations primarily intended to increase the number of citations to a given author’s work or to a specific journal will incur citation manipulation sanctions.
Data Fabrication and Falsification
Manuscripts found to have fabricated or falsified experimental results, including the manipulation of images, will incur data fabrication and falsification sanctions.
Improper Author Contribution
All listed authors must have made a significant scientific contribution to the research and approved all its claims. All individuals who made a significant contribution (including students and technicians) must be listed.
Redundant Publications
Redundant publications involve the inappropriate division of study outcomes into several articles (salami slicing).
Conflicts of Interest
Potential conflicts of interest (COIs) must be declared to allow for informed decisions. Authors must declare all potential interests in a ‘Conflicts of Interest’ section. If none exist, authors should state: “The author(s) declare(s) that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this paper.”
Conflicts include:
Financial: Funding, goods, or services received or expected.
Affiliations: Employment or advisory roles at organizations with an interest in the work.
Personal/Ideological: Personal relationships or strong beliefs relevant to the research.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
JOASNT is a peer-reviewed open-access journal providing a research platform for science, art, management, and technology.
All original research papers published by JOASNT are made freely accessible online with full text immediately upon publication to ensure global reach and visibility. To support this Open Access model, the journal has implemented an Article Processing Charge (APC) of $200 for each accepted manuscript. This fee covers editorial, production, and hosting costs.
Payment is required only after a paper has successfully completed the peer-review process and received formal acceptance. Authors retain copyright to their work while granting JOASNT a license to publish the article.
Sanctions
In the event of documented policy violations, the following sanctions will be applied:
Immediate rejection of the infringing manuscript.
Immediate rejection of every other manuscript submitted to any JOASNT journal by any of the authors.
Prohibition against all authors for new submissions to JOASNT for a minimum of 36 months.
Prohibition from serving on the Editorial Board of any JOASNT journal.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Responsibilities toward Authors

Declining a review if a potential personal or financial conflict of interest exists.
Providing a thoughtful, constructive, and informative critique.
Noting any ethical concerns, such as violations regarding animal or human subjects.
